The Slingshot Grand Tourino was designed and tested on the Columbia River, the second largest river in North America. The rugged shoreline provided and ideal laboratory to create a board built with the features required for endless roaming on any water way.  Made using Slingshot's formula of Polyfused Hollow Sandwich construction and Future Response Technology, the Grand Tourino is a durable, lightweight touring board created in an environmentally conscious process.

Hollow Polyfused Sandwich Construction 

HPF is a revolutionary process using state of the art board building materials which eliminates the need for an EPS core.  Using a combination of glass, carbon fiber resin, and a thin layer of foam, these materials are literally fused together creating  a hollow, stiff and durable, lightweight shell.

The construction process consists of a unique layering of materials throughout the board, reinforcing specific areas with denser glass and Carbon Fiber.  What is truly unique and proprietary to Slingshot is the heat and pressurized molding process.  This process literally fuses the materials together to create an entirely new compound that allows or a stronger, lighter, hollow board.
