An innovative hull design creates the stable feel of a wide board with a slender 27.5” (14') and 27" (12') underfoot. Made using Slingshot’s formula of Hollow Polyfused Sandwich construction and Future Response Technology, the Nitro is a durable, lightweight speed machine created in an environmentally conscious process.

+ 'V' TUNNEL BOTTOM SHAPE
+ Minimizes friction by reducing contact with the water to essential hull surfaces producing less resistance and more speed.  Releases the tail increaing the rocker at the rail line allowoing for easier turns.

+ HATCHET NOSE
+ Cuts and moves water clean to the side for minimal wake and increase speed.

+ SHED DECK
+ The deck literally shed water that may come over the nose, providing dry, open and efficient area that holds feet for buoy turns and drop backs.

HPS

Hollow Polyfused Sandwich Construction  - Revolutionary building process.

HPF is a revolutionary process using state of the art board building materials which eliminates the need for an EPS core.  Using a combination of glass, carbon fiber resin, and a thin layer of foam, these materials are literally fused together creating  a hollow, stiff and durable, lightweight shell.

 

The construction process consists of a unique layering of materials throughout the board, reinforcing specific areas with denser glass and Carbon Fiber.  What is truly unique and proprietary to Slingshot is the heat and pressurized molding process.  This process literally fuses the materials together to create an entirely new compound that allows or a stronger, lighter, hollow board. Proudly built in our factory in the USA.
